Townsville Stadium is Townsville’s multi-purpose sporting venue
Opening in June 2011, Townsville Stadium is a prominent venue of the Townsville City Council that has a strong record of supporting local community events and expos, as well as national and international sporting events. It also provides essential support to local community clubs.
The main arena of the stadium boasts an international standard timber sport floor, and two tiered retractable grandstands that can accommodate up to 800 spectators each for feature events. The floor area covers three courts that are line-marked for various sports including badminton, basketball, netball, futsal, and volleyball. With retractable netting curtains, courts can be separated or divided in half to facilitate multiple users at any one time.
The Level 1 Skyboxes serve as perfect corporate entertaining areas for events, or as individual meeting/conference rooms. Townsville Stadium is well-equipped with audio-visual equipment, and a range of furniture and resources are available to make events even more memorable.
The stadium provides onsite parking for 310 vehicles, including 6 dedicated disabled parking spaces. Our design ensures full disability access throughout the building, and we have a built-in hearing augmentation system that allows everyone to fully enjoy the audio system.
